This article will serve as a quick guide to using your FM-issued iPhone as a Wi-Fi hotspot for use with a laptop or a tablet when necessary.
On your Facilities Work Phone, open the Settings app:
Open the Personal Hotspot menu option:
In the Personal Hotspot menu, you can flip the Allow Others to Join switch to turn the hotspot on and off:
NOTE: Turning the hotspot on will disable your phone's Wi-Fi connection until you turn it off. This is because the hotspot uses your cellular connection.
You can edit the password, which will be necessary to connect to the hotspot, by tapping the Wi-Fi Password option:
Once you have set the password, tap Done, and the hotspot will be ready to use.
On any other device, you will now be able to see your hotspot as an option in your Wi-Fi list. The name of the connection will be the name of your phone, noted in the hotspot instructions:
You will be asked to input the password you set, and then you will be connected.
